The 5DT Data Glove with 16 senors (2 per finger + abduction).

Components |
The 5DT Data Glove 16 measures finger flexure (2 sensors per finger) as well as the abduction between fingers. The system interfaces with the computer via a cable to the serial port (RS 232 - platform independent). It features an autocalibration function, 8-bit flexure and abduction resolution, extreme comfort, low drift and an open architecture. The 5DT Data Glove 16-W is the wireless (untethered) version of the 5DT Data Glove 16. The system interfaces with the computer via a radio link (up to 20m distance) on the serial port (RS 232). Right- and left-handed models are available. One size fits many (stretch lycra). A USB adapter is available.
General Features of the 5DT Data Glove series: * Affordable quality * Extreme comfort * One size fits many * Animation program drivers * 8-Bit flexure resolution * Cross-platform software drivers * Bundled software * High update rate * On-board processor * Low crosstalk between fingers * Wireless versions available * Quick "hot release" connection * Platform independent serial port interface (RS 232), USB adaptor available * Right- and left-handed versions available * Open architecture
The 5DT Data Glove 16 supports a automatic calibration and a minumum 8-bit flexure resolution.
